Sir Issac Newton was an English polymath₁ who was a mathematician, physicist, astronomer, alchemist, theologian, author, and inventor. Famous for his laws of motion and his law of universal gravitation, he was also a key figure in the scientific revolution, and was one of the key figures that started the enlightenment.
